Rixen & Kaul was founded in 1988 by two enthusiastic cyclists and is now family-run in the second generation. At the time of its foundation, the company had already celebrated its first successes with a product that is still very popular with professional mechanics and hobby cyclists today: the Spokey spoke tensioner with its unmistakable shape developed into a classic and, with its combination of function, unfussy design and durability, embodies the basic values that still underlie all Rixen & Kaul products today. 

Already in the first year of its existence, the young company laid the foundation for the current orientation of the company with the introduction of the KLICKfix handlebar adapter. Instead of loose and cumbersome straps, a solid and easy-to-use adapter was used to attach bicycle bags, to which the bag could be attached with a single Klick. This first product grew into a whole family of quick-release adapters that allow attaching a wide variety of accessories to the bike, from baskets to bags and mobile phones, and removing them at the touch of a button. With a unique variety of accessories from Rixen & Kaul and other well-known manufacturers, KLICKfix is the most widely used quick release system for bicycles.

As a specialist in quick release systems for bicycles, we want to offer our customers practical and durable accessories that make their everyday lives easier and add to the joy of cycling. With our products, we want to contribute to making the bicycle even more popular as an environmentally friendly and healthy means of transport.

We strive to create products that will convince and delight our customers in the long term, so in addition to practical ideas and functional design, we also attach great importance to careful manufacturing. At our location in Solingen we produce all KLICKfix adapters and control the whole process, from the first idea to prototype and mould construction up to assembly and packaging in-house. The parts we do not produce ourselves are manufactured by experienced suppliers according to our strict specifications.
